Hilary Duff, Jordana Brewster, Lori Harvey and Lauren London were among the celebrities that volunteered their time to help distribute basic essentials to mothers and their children at May 8 event by nonprofit Baby2Baby which served as an early Mother's Day celebration at the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens.
The nonprofit, which has been holding the event for the past 14 years, provided diapers, formula, hygiene products, clothing, groceries and other critical items to mothers and children, especially those who were impacted by the Los Angeles fires.
Helping the nonprofit with the event was Crate & Kids, who also showered the special guests with special gifts including skincare, robes, makeup, flowers, diaper bags and pampering experiences. Besides that, Crate & Kids generously donated baby blankets and plush toys for children, and curated a lounge furnished with their own pieces for moms to relax.
“Today we are here to celebrate mothers who have experienced unimaginable loss due to the devastating Los Angeles fires,” said Baby2Baby Co-CEOs Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein.
“We wanted to provide critical items they need for themselves and their children, and in honor of Mother’s Day, create a space where moms can enjoy a much-deserved day of pampering and gifts. We are so grateful for our partnership with Crate & Kids which made this impactful day possible.”
